Overview

Since 2011, Casselman Mine has been the flagship mine for Corsa, providing us with a high-quality metallurgical coal product.

This long life underground metallurgical coal mine is located in Garrett County, approximately two miles south of Grantsville, Maryland, USA, and employs approximately 100 full-time workers. This mine is approximately 37 miles by truck from Corsa’s Cambria coal preparation plant in Somerset County Pennsylvania.

The Casselman/North Mine accesses the Upper Freeport Coal seam. Corsa’s most recent National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) Report indicates the presence of over 6.2 million tons of in-place, low volatile, clean coking coal remaining at this mine. This mine is expected to produce between 550,000 – 600,000 tons per year of high quality, low volatile metallurgical coal.
