Overview

The Keyser mine is a future growth project that will result in a new underground mine producing over 570,000 low volatile metallurgical tons per year.

This mine is located in Boswell, Pennsylvania and in close proximity to both our Shade Creek and Cambria preparation plants. Management expects this project would take approximately 14 months of capital development to get to first coal. We are currently working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to permit the project.

Once this mine begins production, we forecast approximately 15 years of permitted mine life. The thick coal seams at the mine allow for this to be Corsa’s largest and lowest cost mine once fully operations. Overall, we estimate this project will require between $20-24 million in capital expenditures to become fully operational.
